If you've been looking up barista course fees in Pakistan, you've probably noticed that many academies don't publish prices at all. You message, you wait, and then you try to compare offers that are described in completely different ways. That wastes your time. So this guide lists our own fees openly, explains how long each course runs, and gives you a checklist for judging any barista course, in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar or right here in Islamabad.

The reel above has students who trained with us talking about it. The numbers are below.

How much does a barista course cost at Barista Studio?

Our fees are PKR 40,000 (15 days), PKR 60,000 (30 days) and PKR 150,000 (3 Months Professional). All three programs follow the same timetable: six days a week, Monday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 1 PM, with Sunday off.

Program Fee (PKR) Schedule Best suited to
15 Days Program 40,000 Mon–Sat, 10 AM–1 PM A quick, solid foundation: home coffee lovers and café owners learning the basics
30 Days Program 60,000 Mon–Sat, 10 AM–1 PM Beginners who want job-ready core barista skills
3 Months Professional Program 150,000 Mon–Sat, 10 AM–1 PM People building a professional coffee career who want the deepest practice

Every program is hands-on on commercial espresso machines, and every student receives a certificate on completion. For the full day-by-day syllabus of each program, message us on WhatsApp at +92 333 5626338 and we will send it to you. You can also see the programs side by side on our barista courses page.

Which program should you choose?

Choose by your goal, not by price alone. A short course suits people who need a foundation; a longer one suits people who need to perform at a café bar under pressure.

15 Days Program: a quick foundation

This fits you if you love coffee at home and want to understand what you're doing. It also suits café owners, current or about to open, who need the basics so they can judge their staff's work and talk to them in their language. You get a solid grounding without a long commitment.

30 Days Program: job-ready core skills

If your aim is a barista job, the extra time matters. Employers test consistency, and consistency only comes from repetition. A month of daily, hands-on sessions means far more shots pulled and jugs steamed than a short course allows. If you're still planning your path, our guide on how to become a barista in Pakistan covers each step.

3 Months Professional Program: the deepest practice

This is for people who want a long career in coffee, beyond a first job. Three months gives you the most time behind the machine, the most correction from your trainer, and the most room to refine milk texture and pouring until they're second nature. It suits anyone aiming for senior roles or a future in specialty coffee.

How long is a barista course?

Barista courses range from a single afternoon workshop to several months. Our programs run 15 days, 30 days or 3 months, with three-hour classes from Monday to Saturday.

Length on paper matters less than what happens in those hours. Three hours with your own hands on the portafilter and steam wand teach more than a full day of watching someone else. That's why the next section matters more than any fee.

What to check when comparing barista course fees

The fairest way to compare courses is cost per hour of real, supervised practice. Two courses with the same fee can deliver very different value. Before paying any academy, including us, ask these questions:

  1. How much machine time does each student get? Ask how many students share one espresso machine and grinder. If you are waiting in a queue most of the session, you are paying for watching, not doing.
  2. How big is the class? Smaller groups mean the trainer actually sees your tamping, your milk stretching and your pour, and corrects them in the moment.
  3. Are practice beans and milk included? Learning espresso and latte art uses a lot of coffee and milk. Ask whether this is covered in the fee or charged on top.
  4. Is the equipment commercial? Café machines and grinders behave differently from home appliances. If your goal is a job, train on the type of equipment you will use at work.
  5. Is there a certificate, and what does it show? A certificate of completion is useful on your CV, but employers will still ask you to make drinks in front of them. Treat the certificate as proof of training, and your skill as proof of ability.
  6. Who is the trainer? Ask about their real bar experience and how long they have been teaching. Read the academy's Google reviews and look for comments about the trainer by name.
  7. What help is there after the course? Ask honestly what job support looks like. Be wary of anyone who promises a guaranteed job or a specific salary.
  8. What does the course actually cover? At minimum you should practise espresso extraction, grinder adjustment, milk texturing, latte art and cleaning. Our guide to what professional barista training includes has a fuller checklist.

Common mistakes when choosing a barista course

  • Picking the cheapest option without asking about machine time. A low fee with little hands-on practice is expensive per skill learned.
  • Choosing a short course when you need a job. A foundation course is excellent for home brewers and owners, but café managers hire for speed and consistency.
  • Ignoring travel time and class timings. If the schedule clashes with work or college, you'll miss sessions. Our 10 AM to 1 PM slot leaves afternoons free, which helps both local students and those who've come from another city.
  • Relying on the certificate alone. Keep practising after the course, and be ready for a trade test at interview.
  • Not visiting first. Seeing the training bar, the machines and the group size in person tells you more than any brochure.

Is a barista course worth it?

A barista course is worth it if it gives you enough supervised practice to make drinks consistently, because that is what cafés test before they hire. It is not worth it if most of the time is theory or watching.

Self-teaching from videos is possible, but it is slow without a commercial machine and someone to spot your mistakes. Bad habits, like uneven tamping or overheating milk, are much harder to unlearn later. Structured training also covers the science behind a good shot, such as espresso dose, yield and time, which helps you fix problems on your own once you are working. For international context on how coffee skills are taught and assessed, the Specialty Coffee Association's education programme is a useful reference.

To weigh the fee against what you could earn, our guide to barista salary in Pakistan covers typical pay. For café owners the maths is different: training yourself first means you can set standards, train new staff and spot waste.
